Background
Playground safety is becoming an increasingly important factor in our lives. In the UK we probably lead the world in terms of equipment specification and the provision of safer surfacing for our playground environments; yet until very recently we have not been able to provide a nationally recognised qualification for Operators and Inspectors of playgrounds.
Increasing demands from the Health & Safety Executive around the country will ensure that current Health & Safety Legislation is applied rigorously.
Recognising the need for an independently accredited qualification Rynat has worked in conjunction with Edexcel to formulate a BTEC Level 3 Award for Playground Operation and Inspection.

8.2 Specific recommendations
8.2.2 Personnel
Personnel performing tasks as a part of safety management, such as inspection, repair and maintenance, should be competent. The level of competence will vary with the task and training may be necessary. The personnel should have adequate information about their tasks and adequate information about their responsibilities and authority.
Places on each course will be limited to 25 delegates. To register for the course, please indicate by email your 1st and 2nd choice venues from the available dates. Payment in full will be required at least four weeks before the commencement of the course to confirm your booking and guarantee your official registration.
